Specialty Interests: Diagnostic surgical neuropathology, diagnostic neuropathology of the dementing neurologic disorders, skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve evaluation, electron microscopy, autopsy and forensic neuropathology.

Undergraduate education completed at Murray State University with a double major in chemistry and Biology (1976) followed by two years Post Graduate Chemistry prior to entering the
University of Kentucky College of Medicine (1982)Completed an AP/CP residency in Pathology at the university of Kentucky (1986) followed by a Neuropathology fellowship at UK (1986-1988).  Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with Neuropathology Special Qualification.  Retired as a tenured faculty member from the UK department of Pathology in 2006 after 18 years of academic pathology practice to join P & C Laboratories.  In addition to general surgical pathology, special areas of interest and expertise include diagnostic surgical neuropathology, diagnostic neuropathology of the dementing neurologic disorders, skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve evaluation, electron microscopy, autopsy and forensic neuropathology
