Dr. John F. Jansen, M.D., F.C.A.P.

Dr. Jansen hails from northern Kentucky where he attended Thomas Moore College.  He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine to earn his medical degree and residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. 

After a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of Michigan Hospital and serving as staff pathologist at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Dr. Jansen returned to Lexington in 1994. 

He has been an active staff pathologist at Central Baptist Hospital since 1997 and presently serves as the Director of Anatomic Pathology.  His areas of interest include the pathology of soft tissue sarcomas, breast pathology and GI tract pathology. 

Dr. Jansen is married to Dr. Carol Steltenkamp of the University of Kentucky Medical Center with whom he has three sons.
